Happy Thanksgiving!

I had turkey, sweet mashed potatoes, and this new salad recipes that my sister made - it was SO good. For dessert, we had this apple pie that my sister's boyfriend brought over, apple bread (which was more like cake) + pumpkin cookies that my mom made, and the cake I made for Laurie's birthday. ^-^

After dinner (but before dessert) we watched Star Trek - I liked it ^-^ I like the character's relationships with one another... they were interesting. Chris Pine + Zachary Quinto = some of my favorite actors.

Got a bucnh of well-wishing texts - it made me happy ^-^

Alethia's younger brother's hamster died though :( May his (or her) soul rest in peace.

And on that note!

(while we're on the topic of bad news)

I did some physics and psychology work. blech!

Anddd now to comment on Rachel's journal (which I confiscated :P)

Tests went well!

...

*knocks on wood*

Well, I guess I won't know until grades are put in. I probably have a B+ now in physics ... -.-#

Baking a cake for Laurie. It's this triple chocolate cake - but I added in blended strawberries with sugar and milk, strained (to get the seeds out).

Let's see how it turns out...

EDIT: 97% on pre-cal test!!!

Sigh....

That kid I talked about in September...

I feel like we're drifting apart.. it makes me sad :/

I don't see him in the mornings - he could never make it on time anymore so he just goes to class. But of course I wouldn't know until it was too late - the bell would ring and then I MIGHT get a text saying Hey I'm late. -.- Yeah, obviously! I get to school at 7, and class starts at 730. That's a half hour of me waiting in the hallway, trying to make myself look busy. After two weeks of that, I just couldn't help but feel heartbroken every time the bell would ring to go to class and I'm still there,

....

waiting.

I drew the line when on the last day when I waited for him, a classmate from my first period saw that I was upset and he stayed with me - I said he didn't have to, but he said he felt bad.
He PITIED me.
I was like....
Ouch.
This is the last straw.

So I told him to just forget the mornings and that I'll start going up to Alethia's room again.

I know he doesn't do it on purpose, but like.. I just feel like we're drifting and he's just letting me go. Like he's not making any effort to keep me? I invite him out but he always has plans, when I text him he has homework - not his fault,
but don't IGNORE me ://

I can't help but be haunted by the story Rachel once told me - about her and her "best guy friend" and how she thinks that it'll happen to me.

And I can't help but think that she's right.

Made a cake

For my bff --- it was her real bday yesterday!!!

Except one of my friends -who went to culinary school - had to leave before we could finish the cake, so she left the dyes and some utensils with me, and I had to frost and decorate it----
ALONE!
SHE'S the one who went to culinary school! I felt bad--
she is far more skilled than I, yet my bff got stuck with my hack job :X
She loved it nonetheless, which is good!
It was so funny making the cake though -- we almost forgot to put in the oil, and then the cake rose so high that it got burnt from touching the top rack! LOL!

Lethie and I at her house:

Nervous for tomorrow....

Physics test, pre-cal test, psych quiz.

Bff

Tomorrow is her "birthday" -- it really isn't until Sunday, but we're having a party in 3rd period (because we have nothing better to do :P)
So I baked her a toffee-less Toffee Cake!!!
(I say toffeeless because it has no toffee. Why it's called that is beyond me.)
It reminds me of a treasure chest for some reason, so that's what I'll called it---
Treasure Island!!!
lol I added some stuff - (I have a bad habit of improvising) - cinnamon and turtle crunch (Chocolate bits & something else.. caramel maybe?) - it tastes AMAZING.
I hope she likes it ^-^
She'd better -.-
I spent like 2 hours doing that even though I have all this other stuff to do!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

My additions: a half cup more chocolate chips, cinnamon on top, and turtle crunch!

^-^

So I cut it into brownie sized pieces (even though it's cake) and put them into paper plates, sealed it with saran wrap, and then decorated the top with stickers and a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Along with a flag in the middle saying Lethie Land

XD

And we got class rings today!! I love mine. it's so unique -- and pretty!

And I wanna sleep.

Don't feel like doing HTML. sorry. ...

Zzzz...

Oh crud! I have to study!!!

Tomorrow

New Moon comes out tonight at midnight..
I wanted to go -
but I'm far too exhausted.
I feel asleep last night at two, and then woke up at 4:30 and have been up ever since.
I have three quizes tomorrow -
  • one of which is completely unrelated to the material learned in class.
  • 50 vocabulary words to memorize - 50! :/
  • And then there's math... BIG quiz. Which tanks, since I tend to space out and forget rules of exponents and logs. -.- So I'm pretty scared for my grade in there. I should be studying my ass off, but I'm so tired I can barely concentrate.
And dammit Alex! You need to fix my computer!!! It STILL has no sound. So I have to o upstairs &use the guest account of my sister's computer. Do you know how annoying that is?!

*ahem*
Anyways.
So we had this taste tester thing in one of my AP classes today -- my teacher brought a few students up to the front of the class and gave us a strip of paper with some kind of chemical on it. Within 5 seconds, if you don't taste anything other than paper, you're a nontaster. If you kinda taste something, then you're a medium taster--and if you taste something right away, you're a supertaster. Apparently, I'm the last one - a supertaster- and DAMN was that stuff nassssty! It kinda works like Gushers. You can taste the gummy immediately when you put it into your mouth, but when you bite it, it explodes and you get the full flavor.
Well for this test, if you're a supertaster, you can taste the chemcial right away; however, you don't get the full blast of it until you move it around on your tongue, and then the ... flavor just comes gushing out. With that first swish of my tongue it exploded for me - it was so gross I wretched in front of the class!
Who, in turn, laughed at me -.-
well, come to think of it, if that happened to someone else I'd probably laugh too. I had to go run out and get some water. The teacher's stepson was there, too - he asked me what it tasted like. At that moment I couldn't tell him, because it was hard to describe. Bitter, pungent. But how do you describe such a taste? I couldn't think of anything similar until now, when I just had some coffee to keep me awake. That chemical tastes like the aftertaste of black coffee.
(black coffee = straight coffee. No sugar, no milk, no nothing.)
I have to make a mental note to tell him that tomorrow morning.
So I think my keyboarding skills are improving - for a while I was like eh.... I used to type faster... and now I type relatively fast (and pretty accurate!!) without looking at the keyboard! It's weird though, because I can see my hands moving out of my peripheral vision. Blech, speaking of vision, that's one of the things I should be studying now, but instead I'm making a blog!
Why is this called a blog, anyway?

Alex, where are you?

I need you...
